size 6-ft wt6 to15 lbs When arctic hares are born their called leverets.They are born in the month of June. They are born in the open. They are born with fur. The mother stays close to her leverets just after birth. She will visit them 18 to 19 hours for the rest of the summer.

The needs of living things: they eat arctic willows.They eat all the parts of the plant. They break up sizable tiwgs and dig up roots.The caecum or appendix on the right does the digesting before the recycling. Habitat; not as much tree areas.North of the treeline.In the tundra of nunvut and the north west territories. WATER goes to river or drinks for the food. NUTRIENTS AND ENERGY. Gets energy from sleep and food gets nutrients from food.



REPRODUCE April and May they reproduce, that's the months the leverets are born. They also reproduce in the early spring.The mom gives birth to 5 leverets.

RESPOND TO ENVIRONMENT they have very thick fur to keep them warm in the snow. Their white fur is good for camouflage. In the summer their fur changes to a blue-grey colour.
